My love for Topshop shoes

Why Topshop have the best shoes

These shoes with cute white frilly socks complete a perfect outfit. I like how you can wear them casually and formally. They have an Alexa Chung style festival look to them which would look great with shorts and sunglasses in the summer, yet are obviously good winter boots for everyday wear. I love cute shoes like this that are also really practical and you can wear casually, they instantly make your everyday outfit look nicer.

These school girl geek shoes are my favourite, I also own a pair myself and wear them to school loads. I like how its bringing back school shoes and making them fashionable and just adorable really. Was gutted to find that they have them in other colours, the blue ones are gorgeous and the silver ones are amazing. Black is a safe everyday option though.

Love how theres a similar style in white. I was tempted to buy these but thought they are too similar to my black ones. How nice would they look with little socks and pleated skirts though?

How being girly doesn't mean you're not a feminist

I am a firm believer of gender equality and I would call myself a feminist.
But what I hate about some feminists, and this is general not personal is the idea that you cannot like girly things and they have an certain idea of feminism which has nothing to do with equality. I am a girly girl, I love glitter, puppies, expensive make up, shoes, pretty skirts, vintage dresses, Victorias secret, One Direction, cute hair accessories etc. These things make me happy and I am one of those girls who loves dressing up in even everyday life and will put on a lot of make up every day, and one of my favourite things to do is shop for clothes.

In an early episode of New Girl, Jess the main characters says an important speech which I agree with.

Exactly! You can still enjoy doing girly things and it doesn't mean that you cannot achieve what you want and be successful. Just because I like all these girly things doesn't mean I don't want to have a big job, earn my own wages, be completely independent, because that's how I want to live my life. I can do what I want which includes buying lots of make up and clothes. It's absolutely ridiculous and completely ruins the idea of feminism.

Think of characters like Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, she shows how she could achieve anything she wanted and she was judged for being girly. I look up to characters like this, because I am one of those people that thinks that dressing nicely and being confident through fashion and make up is important, yet you should still work hard and achieve what you want!

Clueless

One of my favourite films of all time is the 90s classic chick flick- Clueless! I wanted to discuss my favourite character ever (Cher) and her gorgeous outfits in the film, which I would happily wear all of them today. I love the hair bands, tartan, colour coordination, Mary Janes, feathers. She gets it so right every time, it is also impressive how she manages to look so cute and classy when she is just going to school (I know it's a movie but I still find it impressive). Whenever I rewatch Clueless, particularly now as I'm in my second year of Sixth Form(non uniform), I just want to look and dress like Cher for school. I have recently purchased a tartan skirt, I wear knee high socks a lot and have a cute pair of school girl shoes. It's hard to choose my personal favourites of her outfits. Of course there is the classic yellow tartan ensemble which she is most famous for pulling off, and it is the first outfit you see in the film, which she matches with her best friend Dionne. The outfit on the top is quite casual for Cher, I love the matching hairband and jumper, the big collar and sleeves are adorable, my mum used to wear a similar type of thing when I was younger! (Outfit is also topped off with tartan trousers which manage to colour coordinate)

The outfit second from the top is also lovely, classic Cher with a checked skirt and fluffy sleeves, all matching off course. The hairstyle is cute too, half up half down, I do that a lot with my scrunchies to add a 90s look. Outfit second from the bottom is very professional. What I like most about this outfit is the shoes with the white see-through knee highs. It gloriously mixes shiny with preppy, I would totally buy those shoes any day of the week. The bottom outfit is a personal favourite too, I absolutely love the shiny cropped sweater vest paired with an oversized blouse. I like how the blouse is long enough to be a dress, yet you still see the pattern of the skirt underneath.

So to finalise, Cher Horowitz from Clueless has a fabulous sense of style. Completely original and preppy, I wish it was how more people dressed today! You can't go wrong with tartan, oversized blouses and knee highs.

Fashion Fund Awards- Favourite Outfits

Vanessa Hudgens
She screams vintage with this beautiful pattern dress, her outfits have impressed me in the past (particularly Coachella) and this is absolutely stunning. Hair looks classic and red lips look great contrasted with her black and white outfit. Love it!

Allison Williams
I love this outfit! It reminds me of season 6 Carrie Bradshaw. You can't beat an oversized shirt, and she still manages to look feminine with the big skirt. She also has the right figure to pull this outfit off.

Atlanta De Cadenet
Not sure about the shoes with the outfit but I absolutely love the matching crop top and pencil skirt. The gorgeous pattern shows elegance yet the outfit is fitted in all the right places.

Chrystal Renn
Mixed feelings on this dress but I still wanted to post it
I absolutely love the shaping and design, particularly the neckline.
I have always been a lover of Velvet and the darker maroon is gorgeous. The only thing i'm insure of is the bright red material. It doesn't look back but I wouldn't have chose it personally.
Still a lovely dress though, vintage hair is also on point.

Chelsea Boots!

Recently purchased some gorgeous 'Chelsea' ankle boots for £45 from Topshop. I love the simplicity of them and how they look so cute if you want to wear them with little socks or with tights. They are so comfortable and practical too, I walk overall 3 miles Monday to Friday to and back from school, so I need some good boots, and well as looking good, Chelsea Boots are perfect for walking :-)
I also like the fact that they could be worn in Summer and Winter, I can wear them with tights, jeans and coats in the Winter but also they carry Festival vibes which would be perfect with socks and shorts in the Summer.
The colour makes them wearable with everything, and I have already tried them with my new winter coat and it's looks adorable.
So i'm in love with the new Chelsea boots, celebs like Alexa Chung (fashion idol) have been seen wearing them and they definetly carry the perfect balance of being in style and being comfy and wearable everyday
I will probably wear them as much as my Converse!
